Download the Armstrong County Standard Right-To-Know Request Form.

On February 14, 2008, Governor Edward G. Rendell signed the Right –To- Know law, changing the way the public accesses information and how the government processes the requested information.  The law went into effect January 1, 2009.

Pursuant to this law, this website has been created to fulfill Armstrong County’s obligations to assist those seeking information.

Please note: some information is already accessible through public record, and a Right –To-Know request is not necessary. For complete details on what is available please contact the appropriate office before filing a Right–To–Know.  Some of the most commonly requested publically accessible information and where to find it is as follows:

Register & Recorders Office: Genealogy, Marriage Licenses, Property Records, Wills

Prothonotary / Clerk of Courts: Criminal Cases, Civil Cases, Divorces, Judgments / Liens

Assessment: Property Assessment, Tax Information and Maps

District Court matters are available through each respective Magisterial District Judge’s office.

Requests must be submitted in writing, preferably on a Right-To-Know request form, and may be submitted by:
