Established in 1999, the Armstrong County Regional Manufacturing Initiative (ARMTech) demonstrates Armstrong County's dedication to the development of the County's technology base. By working closely with industry and the Penn State ARL Electro-Optics Center, ARMTech strives to develop industry opportunities, workforce empowerment programs and local supplier relationships for companies located within Armstrong County.

The success of ARMTech is most evident in the ARMTech Showcase of Industry & Technology. As a result of the showcase, there has been an increased interest in expansion and business partnering within Armstrong County, as well as a renewed interest in establishing technology businesses in Armstrong County. After nine successful years, the ARMTech Showcase continues to help connect Armstrong County businesses with industry leaders from the region and across the county.
