The Planning Division focuses on preparing for the future of the County through the development and implementation of a comprehensive planning program. The Division addresses areas such as land use, recreation, solid waste management and transportation. The Planning Division provides staff support to the Armstrong County Planning Commission for the administration of the county Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance. In addition the Planning Division coordinates and administers the county recycling and municipal services programs that provide valuable information and beneficial services to the residents and municipalities of Armstrong County.
