Economic Develop.

Economic Development

The Armstrong County Department of Economic Development provides staff to the Armstrong County Industrial Development Council (IDC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit economic development corporation.  By providing tools such as financing, site selection, workforce development assistance and more, the IDC's goals are to improve Armstrong County’s business environment through retention and expansion of existing businesses and attraction of new investment. Conservation Dist.

Conservation District

The Armstrong Conservation District works to restore degraded watersheds, promote sustainable farms, healthy forests, and growing vibrant and sustainable communities. The District will work with many private and public partners for the betterment of our natural resources and the citizens of Armstrong County. The District provides technical, administrative, and financial support through many programs such as the dirt, gravel, low volume roads program; the agricultural lands preservation program; the erosion and sediment pollution control program; the watershed protection and restoration program; and many other outreach efforts of the District

Jail

Jail

The Armstrong County Jail, which opened in August of 2003, has a capacity of 158 inmates. The facility grants a safe environment to the Armstrong County community by providing the care and control of the jail's residents.

Belmont

Belmont Complex

For over 50 years, the Belmont Complex has been a recreational facility that draws over 40,000 residents and visitors alike to the arena, pool and banquet facilities yearly.

Civil Services
Please submit the following with all requests in-county or deputized to another county.
 
     1. Cover sheet that includes: Attorney’s Name, Address, Phone Number and extension.
     2. Name and address for each separate party to be served.
     3. One (1) self-addressed envelope per docket number.
     4. One (1) copy of the Posting Order or other Court Order for any form requesting special          service.
     5. Applicable Fees (please see Fee Schedule for details, this also includes any out of county          fees for deputizing another county).
     6. One (1) copy of paperwork for service per defendant to be served- We do not need extra          copies of paperwork to be served, extra copies will be discarded.

Filing Requirements for Writs of Execution
 
Levies
1.   Two (2) time-stamped Writs of Execution (filed in the Prothonotary’s Office)
2.   One (1) Claim for Exemption Form (filed in the Prothonotary’s Office)
3.   One (1) Postage –paid envelope addressed to the defendant
4.   One (1) Postage –paid envelope addressed to the attorney or pro-se party filing the Writ
5.   The Applicable fee (See Fee Schedule for Details)
 
Garnishments
1   Two (2) time-stamped Writs of Execution (filed in the Prothonotary’s Office)
2   One (1) Claim for Exemption Form (filed in the Prothonotary’s Office)
3   One (1) postage-paid envelope addressed to the defendant
4   One (1) postage-paid envelope addressed to the attorney or pro-se party filing the Writ
5   Three (3) copies of Interrogatories to Garnishee (these are optional)
6   The applicable fee (see Fee Schedule for Details)
